Listen now 9:35 | An interview with author, poet, blogger, and Guerilla Marketing Coach Kathy Gerstorff ('WriterKat') on her personal stories of using AI
Just had a listen to this inaugural interview and enjoyed it and specifically for the following reasons: Karen, good questions; and Kathy, even in that AI-generated voice (which was a bit robotic and monotone) I could still feel the enthusiasm of your answer.) Like you, Kathy, I have watched and engaged with new publishing tools through the decades and do appreciate how they increase accessibility for those who can't find their way in through an agent and publisher OR who are content to rigorously self-publish. I'm all for self-published works and creators liberated to help themselves find their worldwide audience.
As for AI being here to stay, this is true. As for AI companies playing fair and being ethical--in this free for all period till there is moderation and some regulatory guidance, I'd love to see enough indie creators, writers, and producers speak up and act to say "opt me out" or pay me for my contributions. As Karen knows a little now, that is my soapbox. :)
That and some other choice core values. I'll be listening to the rest of the series. Happy to be a subscriber.
I really enjoyed this interview—it highlights the benefits of early AI adoption and shows that people with this mindset are making it work.
I also wonder if the competitiveness in the content creation industry pushes writers and creators to embrace new tools to stay ahead, rather than clinging to traditional methods.

Thanks, Arman! As a curious creative, technology is exciting. As a self-published author, it definitely helps to embrace new tools.
What a great first interview, Karen. 🔥Thank you. 🙏 I’m excited for this series! ❤️
Thank you for such an amazing kick-off, Kathy! It was fun to hear your stories of how you’re using AI tools 😊
