Melobytes’ parent company appears to be Gardos Software Ltd. However, no corporate information was found in the usual places. The parent website indicates they are based in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. Assumption is that they are privately held.

The response to question “3. Is Melobytes for professional use?” is: “Our apps are designed for playful and experimental purposes, offering a starting point for creativity. They may not be suitable for professional use as-is, but they can serve as inspiration for aspiring artists and creators.”

Melobytes offers pages of genAI-based music apps, as well as some algorithmic apps. They are grouped as “Artificial Intelligence”, “Algorithmic Music”, “File Conversions”, “Midi”, and “Music Composition”. Many of their apps are grouped in non-music categories such as “AI Stories”, “Language”, “Melogames”, “Sounds”, and “Voice Composition”. Music-related apps include “AI image to song”, “image to music”, and “convert any file to music”. Voice composition apps include “SSML text to sing”.
Training Data & Technologies
There is no high-level information on how their AI tools were trained.
The Melobytes “text to song” feature says it is “procedurally generated music”. The options include language, tonality, tempo, singer, a cappella, time signature, options for generating video, lyrics, and an option for “lyrics completion” with AI.
The Melobytes “AI image to song” feature generates a “random song based on your lyrics and a given music style”.
Ownership, Pricing, and Usage Rights
The site FAQ says “Sign up for free, and you'll get access to all our apps with up to 5 executions a day. If you want unlimited access, you can subscribe to Melobytes for a one-off payment or recurring subscription.” A subscription gives “unlimited access to all apps for unlimited uses and higher queue priority during high server load times.”
There is no mention of copyright ownership by users or Melobytes. Informal sharing seems to be acceptable. The safe assumption is that Melobytes holds copyright and commercial use is not allowed.
